Problem

In the beverage category there was no discovery beyond brand search; users couldn't search by content, 'sugar-free cold brew' returned nothing.

Solution

An online beverage marketplace with content-based search and filtering: ingredient tagging, need-based basket building, vendor and order management.

İçiniz’s pitch was simple: “a market with a zillion drinkable products.” But the real innovation wasn’t the catalog, it was the search. Users could build a basket around their body’s needs without knowing a single brand name: caffeine-free, sugar-free, herbal, protein-rich.

Marketplace infrastructure

We built two layers that set the platform apart from classic e-commerce. First, an ingredient-tagged product database: every product carries a content profile (sugar, caffeine, calories, allergens) and the search engine filters on that profile. Second, the marketplace layer: multi-vendor management, per-vendor catalog and stock, order splitting and shipment tracking.

Outcome

The first local marketplace offering content-based discovery in the beverage category went live. Design, the web application and the marketplace backend were our team’s delivery.
